15 days Grand Morocco Tour from Casablanca

 

DAY One: Casablanca – Rabat.

The moment you arrive to the airport of Casablanca, we will be there to welcome you and take you to visit Hassan II Mosque, the largest mosque in the area. Later on you will head towards the capital of Morocco, Rabat. There you will visit Hassan Tower, and the Oudaya Kasbah. Afterwards you will head to a hotel or Riad where you are going to spend your first night.

DAY Two: Rabat – Meknes – Volubilis – Fes.

In early morning after breakfast, you will travel towards Meknes, the Ismailic capital. There, in Meknes, you will visit Bab Mansour, Sahrij Souani, and the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. In these wonderful historical places, you will have time to take some pictures and explore them. Once you have your lunch, you will go to Volubilis, the well preserved site of Roman ruins. Later on you will head to Fes through Rif Mountains. You will be there, in Fes, at late afternoon, and spend your night there.

DAY Three: Fes – Fes.

In Fes, you will have a tour around the city and walk through its old narrow streets. You will, also, visit some historical places such as: Royal Palace gate, the Jewish headquarter, the first Mellah, and Al Qaraouine University as well as the Tanneries and the Attarine museum. We will make sure that you visit most of the historical and touristic places of the city. Later on after lunch, you will continue your trip through the city and enjoy its panoramic views. Then you will head to the new city “La nouvelle Ville”, there you will enjoy a drink and spend the night in a hotel.

DAY Four : Fes – Ifran – Azrou – Midelt.

 This time your tour will be towards Midelt through Ifran, and Azrou. Once you are in Ifrane, the cleanest and beautiful city in Morocco, you will have time to explore the place and take some pictures. Later on, you will have a pause in Azrou to visit the famous cedar forest where there are the oldest trees in Morocco as well as Barbary monkeys. Afterwards, you will head to Midelt through Tizi Ntalghamt pass and Ziz Gorges. In Midelt, you will spend the night in a Riad or a hotel.

DAY Five : Midelt – Errachidia – Merzouga.

Once you have your breakfast, you will travel to Merzouga via Errachidia and Erfoud. Then you will head through the Ziz Gorge where you will be fascinated by the panoramic views of High Atlas plateau. On your way you will notice that the scenery is changing and becoming of desert and you will end up in Errachidia. There you will have your lunch, and deal with th Amazigh people who are famous by their generosity and hospitality. Afterwards, you will head to Erfoud and Rissani crossing via Ziz Valley. And there you will have a pause to entertain and enjoy the charming panoramic views. Finally you will reach Merzouga in the afternoon, have some cups of tea and go to a hotel to spend the night there.

DAY Six : Merzouga area and the Camel trek.

In early morning and after having your lunch in the hotel, you will start exploring the area. First, you will visit Gnawa, these people are originally brought from Sudan. And they are famouse by their unique and spiritual music. Then you will drive to Merzouga’s Lake and take some pictures there with its numerous birds. Later on you will visit wire Amazigh house where you will find low priced handicrafts. Afterwards, you will be taken by our guid on camels throughout the desert to discover and explore the dunes of Merzouga. In the evening you will have a delicious dinner and spend the night in a camp in the heart of the desert.

DAY Seven : Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley.

In the heart of the desert, you will wake-up in the early morning to see the sunrise. Then you will head back on camels to Merzouga. There you will have your breakfast, then move to Rissani, Tinghir and Todra gorges. These villages are rich and full of beautiful panoramic views and historical places. Once you are there, you will have time to explore these places as well as take some lovely pictures. Later on and after, having your lunch in the gorges, you will continue your trip through the Dades Valley where you will see one of the fascinating and amazing rock formations known as “monkey toes”. By the end of the day, you will spend your night in hotel.

DAY Eight :Dades Gorge – Ouarzazate .

Through the Dades Valley, you will head towards Kalaa M’gouna then to Ouarzazate, after having your breakfast in the hotel. On your road, you will be exposed to numerous Kasbahs. And Every Kasbah has a story to tell. Once you reach Kalaa M’gouna which is famous and well-known by its yearly Rose Festival, you will have an opportunity to buy some of the local handmade products such as: the RoseWater or “MAA ZHAR”. Later on, you will continue towards Skoura,  dirds valley and visit Ameridil Kasbah. Afterwards, you will have your lunch there and head to Ouarzazate. Ouarzazate is a well-known city in Morocco, and is often called “the African’s Hollywood”. This city contains various charming panoramic views as well as important historical places, and is chosen by various directors to film there movies. Among the movies which have been filmed in the city there is The Mummy, Gladiator and the Last temptation of Christ. By the end of the day we will take you to a hotel to get some rest and spend the night there.

DAY Nine :Ouarzazate – Taroudant.

Your next destination will be Taroudant. In this tour you will head over Taznakht , Taliouine and visit Safran co-operative. There in Safran co-operative, you will meet women accompanied with their families in the fields harvesting the safran. The arrival to Taroudant which is called “the little Marrakesh”, because of its red Saadian dynasty and its red walls, you will be in the afternoon. Therefore you will have some time to walk around the city and explore its streets.

DAY Ten : Taroudant – Essaouira.

This tour towards Essaouira, will begin after having your breakfast in the hotel, and will be through Agadir. Agadir is one of the most beautiful cities in Morocco, and is well-known by its large beach which attracts countless numbers of tourists every year. There, in Agadir, you will have your lunch and have a visit to the Promenade, before continuing to Essaouira. The road to Essaouira is full of fascinating panoramic views and beautiful sceneries. This city is the home of the trees of Argan. And once you are close to the city, you will notice goats climbing the trees of Argan everywhere. You will spend your night in one of Essaouira’s Riads.

DAY Eleven : Essaouira – Essaouira.

Once you have your breakfast, a tour in the Essaouira will begin. The city is full of places to visit, therefore the whole day will be devoted to explore it. First, you will have a visit to Skala Fortress, the souks, and Thuya. Walking from one place to the other, you will be exposed to various types of local handcrafts that may attract you to buy some of them as a souvenir. The city, also, is well-known by its strong winds which is a perfect atmosphere for the sports of surfing. Essaouira is small village, but it has an ancient history. It is also known as Morocco’s “Jewel of the Atlantics” thanks to its blue doors, washed walls and small size. In your tour in Essaouira, you will attend the annual festival of Gnawa, if you happen to come in the third week of June which the date of the festival, visit El Mellah and explore the beach. Once it is time for lunch, you enjoy a dish of fish. Then in the afternoon, you will be free to discover the city by yourself, and head back to the hotel to spen your night.

DAY Twelve : Essaouira – Marrakech .

The departure towards Marrakesh will be after breakfast. On the way, you may be taken to visit women’s Argan co-operation. These co-operations are well-known for the high quality of Argan oil they produce. This oil is used for medical purposes and is famous all over the world. This trip will include many pauses to see some panoramic views as well as take some pictures. Later on you will continue to Marrakesh where you will have your dinner and head to explore the famous square in Marrakesh Jemaa El fna. At the end of the day you will spend your nigh in a Riad.

DAY Thirteen : Exploring Marrakech.

Immediately after you have your breakfast, you will be taken by our well experienced guide in a tour all around Marrakesh. Our guide’s duty is to make sure that you visit as much historical and cultural places as possible. He will take you in a visit to Saadian tombs; the Palace of El Bahia and the Ben Youssef Coranic School. Once it is time for lunch you will be taken to a restaurant near Jemaa El fna. Then in the afternoon you may visit Majorelle Gardens and head back to the Riad.

 DAY Fourteen : Marrakech Day trip to the Atlas Mountains.

After breakfast, a trip towards Asni, and Imlil which are Amazigh villages in the Atlas Mountains, will begin. In your way to these villages through the gorges of Moulay Brahim, you will enjoy the beauty of the views and discover new a new culture. Then you will have your lunch in Kasbah Toubkal which is the mountain in North Africa. After you have enjoyed and explored the place, you will drive back to the Hotel in Marrakesh to spend the nigh there.

DAY Fifteen : Marrakech – Airport Transfer .

This day will be the last day of the journey, and once you wake up and have your breakfast, you will be taken to the airport from which you will fly back home.
