3 Days Sahara Tour from Marrakech to Fes

This 3 days tour from Marrakech to Fes via Sahara desert starts from Marrakesh and ends in Fes. We will go through Tizi N’Tichka pass to Ouarzazate. And visit Telouet and the famous Kasbah of Ait ben Haddou (declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986). Then continue to Todgha gorges, passing by different Berber villages and valleys to Tinghir, arriving at Merzouga dunes, where you will enjoy the silence of the desert and the sunrise in nomad tents. Visiting Rissani market, Erfoud, and drive across the Atlas Mountains, through Azrou, Ifrane, the Moroccan Switzerland, arriving in Fes, the old imperial city of Morocco.

Itinerary 

Day One: Marrakesh – Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou – Oaurzazate – Dades Gorge

The three days desert tour of joy start by our driver taking you from Marrakesh at 08 Am towards the Dades Gorges. During this trip, you will be exposed to numerous panoramic views such as Tizi-n-Tichka Atlas pass, which is considered the highest mountain pass in the half East of Africa, then to the traditional High Atlas Amazigh villages as well as places that are recognized by the UNESCO as World Heritages. Once it is lunching time, you will be taken to enjoy your meal in one of the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou’s restaurants. Immediately after that,you continue your tour through Skoura and rose valley towards Dades gorges to spend the night in a traditional Kasbah.

Day Two: Dades Gorge – Todra Gorge – Erfoud – Risani – Merzouga

The following day, and once you have had your breakfast, you will continue your trip, this time towards Erg chebbi Sahara desert at Merzouga. As soon as the journey begins, you will notice various Amazigh Villages along the way. Todra Gorges, Tenghir, Tinjdad, Jorf and Erfoud, all of these villages represent Tfilalt ossis, and passing through them will lead you to Merzougua in which you will rest in a hotel for a few minuts. Later on, you will leave all your baggage in the hotel except some necessary tools that you will need to spend the night in the desert, these tools will be picked up in small bags, and you will start your adventure through the Erg Chebbi sand dunes on camels, there you will have the chance to take some pictures as a souvenir.  The moment you reach the camp, you will continue on your feet to the highest sand dunes where you will be able to watch the sunset, and spend the night there, in an Amazigh nomad tents which exists in the middle of Sahara, listening to traditional music.

Day Three: Merzouga – Errachida – Midelt – Azrou – Ifrane – Fes

In early morning, you will have your breakfast on the top of the dune and enjoy the sunrise. Later on, you will ride the camel back to the hotel where you can shower and prepare yourself to continue your journey to Errachidia via Erfoud, Aoufous and the valley of Ziz, during this trip you will stop in the oasis of Aoufous, an exquisite panoramic view in Tafilalt. Then you will head to Midelt crossing Zaable  tunnel and Tizi N’talghamt to have you lunch there, in Midelt. Once you have finished your lunch and have some rest, you will cross Cedar forest near Azrou, where you may have the chance to see some Barbay monkies, then you will continue to have a break in Ifrane which is one of the most beautiful cities in morocco, and finally you will end up in your last station Fes.
