6 days Sahara Morocco tour from marrakech

 

DAY  One: Marrakech – Telouet – Ouarzazate

In the first day of the journey, you will cross about 200km. the departure will begin immediately after breakfast, and your destination is Telouet Kasbah. This Kasbah was built in the period between the 18th and 19th centuries, and was a property of the El Glaui’s family. To reach it, you will have to go through Tizi Ntichka, which is a high and long mountain pass. Once you are there, you will have lunch and in the afternoon you will head towards Ait Ben Hadou Kasbah over Ounila, then to Ouarzazate. There, you will have dinner and spend the night in hotel until the next day.

DAY  Two: Ouarzazate – Draa valley – Zagora

The next day after breakfast, a journey of about 160 km will begin. The destination this time will be Agdez, then Zagora over the Draa valley. In your way towards these cities, you will be fascinated by the beauty of a series of palm trees all over the road and the architecture of Amazigh villages which are scattered along the way. Once you reach Zagora, you will have your lunch there, and in the afternoon you will continue to visit the old Koranic library in Tamegroute.  This old library which is underground served as a hub of learning about religion. After having a tour throughout the Kasbah, you will head back to Zagora where you will pass your night and   enjoy a delicious Moroccan meal in a hotel.

DAY  Three: Zagora – Tazarine – Alnif – Rissani – Merzouga

From Zagora, a tour of 320 Km will start towards Merzouga, through Tazarine, Alnif and Rissani. Crossing Draa valley you will pass by Taftechna and Ait Ouaazique villages, then you will reach Tazarine, and Alnif. There, you will take a break to have your lunch, so that you can continue towards Chebbi Erg through Rissani. Chebbi Erg is one of the largest dunes of morocco that was formed by the wind-blown sand. Once you are there at the dunes, you will continue on camels and rid all over the area to enjoy the golden sand and the beautiful sunset. Later on, you will be taken to a nomad camp in the middle of Sahara where you will spend the night.

DAY  Four : Merzouga – Erfoud – Touroug – Tinjdad – Tinghir

The trip of 160 km, will begin in early morning. Once you have your breakfast and entertained the sunrise, you will take your camels and head back to the bottom of the dunes. And from there, you will continue to Erfoud. Erfoud will be the departure point towards toudra Gorges. In your way to toudra Gorges, you will pass by Tourog and have lunch in Tinjdad. Finally and once you are in toudra Gorges, you will have dinner and spend the night in a hotel.

DAY  Five : Tinghir – Boumalne – Gorges de dades – Roses valley – Kelaa Mgouna – Skoura – Ouarzazate

In early morning and after breakfast, a tour of about 270km towards Ouarzazate will begin. First you will walk for about one hour among palm trees in Tinghir, then head towards Boumalne where you will continue to the Dades Gorges and have lunch there. Later on in the afternoon, you will travel through the Dades valley to the Kasbah of Ait Youl. From there, you will go in a visit to Kelaa Mgouna, this city is well-known for its rose festival, that takes place every May. Finally you will have a visit to the Kasbah of Amredhyle and continue to Ouarzazate.

DAY  Six : Ouarzazate – Marrakech

Immediately after breakfast, the last journey will be towards Marrakech. And during the journey, you will visit the Kasbah of Taourirt and the cinema studio where numerous movies have been filmed. Then crossing Tizi N-Tichka, you will head back to Marrakech.
