7 Days Desert Tours From Fes To Merzouga sahara desert

 

DAY  One: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Merzouga

The tour towards Merzouga will begin after breakfast through Ifran, Azrou, and Midelt. And during this journey, you will have many pauses, to take some lovely pictures and enjoy the panoramic views. The first pause will be in Azrou where you will see the oldest trees in the country and the Barbaryan Monkeys. The second pause will be in Midelt, there you will have your lunch and have a look at some touristic places. Then you will continue through Ziz valley where you will have another pause in Ziz gorges. Finally you will reach Merzouga.

DAY  Two: Merzouga – Khamlia – Rissani “ Erg Chebbi”

This days’ tour will be devoted to explore the desert as well as the dunes of Erg Chebbi.The beginning of the tour will be by having a tour in the Sahara and discover the nomad’s way of life. Then you will head to Khamlia where you will have the opportunity to listen to a unique and spiritual music called Gnawa’s music. Once it’s time for lunch, you will go to Rissani where you will have an Amazigh delicious pizza. Later on you will continue your trip, this time on camels, to the dunes to watch the sunset in the heart of the desert and ride to an Amazigh camp to spend the night there. Your night in this Amazigh camp would not be like the other nights, it will be full of activities such as: having a traditiona Tagin, drinking tea, listening to Amazigh music under the light of the stars and so on.

DAY  Three: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges

In early morning, you will wake up to watch the beautiful sunrise in the dunes, and head back on camels to the hotel where you will breakfast, take some piece of rest, and take a shower. Then from the hotel, you will drive through Tourog and Tinjdad towards Todra Gorge. There you will have a pause to explore the place and enjoy its panoramic views, and have your lunch there. Later on, you will continue to a hotel to spend your night there, in the Dades Gorge.

DAY  Four: Dades Gorge – El Kelaa Magona – Skoura – Ouarzazate

From the hotel in the Dades Gorge, you will start a journey to Ouarzazate, after having breakfast and few minutes to walk in the Dades Gorge. In this journey, you will pass by Kelaa Magona which is famous by its annual Rose Festival, then by Skoura oasis, and finnaly reach Ouarzazate where you will spend the night.

DAY  Five: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Telouet – Marrakech

There in Ouarzazate, you will have various places to visit such as Taourirt Kasbah. Then you will head towards Ait Benhaddou which is recognized by the UNESCO as a world heritage site. Later on, you will visit Telouet and Kasbah el Glaoui. And finally, you will have your lunch in a restaurant and take the road back to Marrakesh through Tizi-n-Tichka.

DAY  SixMarrakech – Essaouira

In the sixth day, your destination will be Essauira. On your road, and once you are close to Essauira, you will notice goats everywhere climbing Argan trees in attempt to get food. There in Essauira, you will have the opportunity of visiting women’s co-operations of Argan oil. These co-operations are well-known by their high quality Argan’s oil which is used for medical purposes. Later on, you will visit some the historical places in the city, and taste some delicious traditional food, before heading back to Marrakesh.

DAY  Seven: Marrakech Sightseeing

Marrakesh is one of famous touristic cities in Morocco, and is well known by the countless numbers of tourists who visit the city every year. Therefore, we will devote this whole day to take you in a tour all over the city to explore and discover its historical and cultural places. first, you will visit the famous mosque Koutoubia, take some pictures and walk over and around the place, then you will be taken to see the traditional bakers, and Medrassa ben Yousef. Afterwards you will head to El Medina where you will walk through its Souk to see various types of handcrafts, artistic tables, and traditional handmade carpets. There you may buy some of these hand made products as a souvenir if you would like to.
